SALARY RANGE: $153,524.80 - $225,846.40
PURPOSE:
Serves as department director and Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU)/Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) Facility Security Officer. Responsible for directing all ORAU and ORISE Safeguards and Security (S&S) functional areas including S&S program management, personnel security, information security, physical security, technical security, operations security, Watchforce/protective force operations, foreign visits and assignments, security awareness, and nuclear materials control and accountability. Serves as Facility Security Officer for Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA)/Department of Defense (DoD) corporate security programs and oversees the Insider Threat Program, serving as the Insider Threat Program Senior Official. Also serves as the ORAU/ORISE Contractor Classification Officer, managing the classification and Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information (UCNI) programs.
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Safety, Emergency Management, or other relevant field and 12+ years of job-related experience. Master’s degree in Engineering, Criminal Justice or other related discipline is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience requiring similar knowledge, skills, abilities, and performing duties as described may be substituted for the minimum requirements (master’s degree and 10 years of experience, associate’s degree and 16 years of experience, high school diploma and 20 years of experience).
*The candidate’s starting salary will be determined upon hire and ORAU will use salary survey data, internal comparators, and the candidate’s qualifications to determine salary.
