APPOINTMENT TYPE: Temporary (Temp)

 

LOCATION: Las Vegas, NV (On-Site)

 

*SALARY RANGE: $20.16 - $$24.37/hr.

 

PURPOSEUnder general supervision, assists with administrative functions of the research office. Provide general administrative functions, serve as property contact, assist with GSA vehicles, timekeeping, and purchases. 

Responsibilities

  • General Administrative functions - Assist with day-to-day tracking of expenditures, utilizing planning and budgeting systems, financial briefings, fact-finding, form preparation, and time management.

 

  • Provide office management and administrative functions essential for the success of research goals. Support projects in coordination with division director, administrative team, and DOE/NNSA/NFO.

 

  • Serve as Property Contact - Support and assist the Property Custodian in property management activities. Assist with tracking property location and condition. Assist with assignment of property for official use and appropriate safeguards. Assist with reporting all incidents within guidelines. Assist with audits and verifications.

 

  • General office management functions to include but are not limited to working with facility representatives to coordinate site safety, managing communications, scheduling, organizing information, and other general support.

 

  • GSA Vehicles - Assist with monthly reports, monitoring, and other necessary tasks.

 

  • Timekeeper - Assist with preparation of time and attendance reports.

 

  • Purchasing - Assist in activities to purchase materials, supplies, non-personal services, and equipment essential for the success of goals

Qualifications

High School diploma and 2-4 years of experience requiring similar knowledge, skills, abilities, and performing duties as described may be substituted for the minimum requirements. Higher level education above minimum may count for additional experience.

 

  • Must have experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, and Slides).
  • Effective communication, both verbal and written, and customer-friendly attitude is required.
  • Punctuality and excellent attendance is required.
  • Conscientious attention to processes and procedures are required as well as the physical organization of the office space.
  • Experience working in a Federal and/or research environment and business office operations.
  • Must have experience interfacing with internal/external subject matter experts.
  • Coordination and multitasking for multiple programs.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills are a requirement for the position.
  • Ability to coordinate, organize, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail, deadline consciousness, positive attitude, teamwork, strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and creativity desired.

 

 

*The candidate’s starting salary will be determined upon hire and ORAU will use salary survey data, internal comparators, and the candidate’s qualifications to determine salary.
